Does anybody else see the erie similarity in the Obama health care logo and the Nazi logo with an eagle on top of the swastika?

Why would they make something so similar? Are they that absent minded or does evil just think alike?

Right. The caduceus is the staff of Hermes, messenger of the Greek gods (also god of wrestling, skilled artisans and thievery).

The rod of Asclepius was carried by Asclepius, the healer of the gods; it had one snake and no wings.

The two were often confused, and the caduceus came to be often used as a symbol of healing. I believe the AMA has gone back to the rod of Asclepius.
Allright this is making my head hurt. Now which is it? Is Obama and his DemocRats Socialists or are they Facists? Now I know enough to know that Facists were Nazis who hated Socialists and Communists. They even put the Socialists in concentration camps. So if Obama and his cohorts are both are they secretly building prisons to put themselves in? Maybe we ought to just leave 'em alone if this is the case. Since we're neither are we considered Free Market Capitalists? Isn't that an oxymoron since there ain't nothing free in this country but bullshit?
Well, the Nazis were Socialists, at least nominally: National Socialist Party. But they concentrated on hating and killing Jews, Communists, Poles, Gypsies, etc. That's the part that made them Fascists.
So then the part of them that was Socialist then offered 'em free medical and dental services awile they awaited execution?
There was dental service. The Nazis removed their gold fillings after they were dead.

And the first VWs are said to have had the upholstery stuffed with hair from the Holocaust victims. Don't have a good source for that one.
The National Socialist German Workers’ Party also offered free tattoo removal.
They were into recycling too.
Recycling all those tattoos in to lamp shades. But all of the lamps used incandescent bulbs and that's what truly made them evil.

Incandescent = Evil
I know this thread is almost (is?) dead but there is a good youtube vidoe out there that does an okay job of explaining the symbolism of Obama.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdtqtfXdR-c

I do take issue with them calling it "Iconography" as Iconography was the practice of telling stories through specific identifiers placed in a work of art like two fingers raised together (showed the person was speaking) or a halo (showed the person was of God). It's more just basic romantic realist symbolism.
I think it's overstating the case to suggest that Obama won strictly on branding. If Republicans want to stand a chance in upcoming elections, I suggest they start looking harder at their policies and less at aesthetics.

For one, instead of stonewalling every attempt the current administration has made to improve the health care system, maybe they could start contributing some ideas of their own and stop pretending there isn't a problem Don't just complain that it won't work, show us something that will.
I haven't seen anyone anywhere say Obama won strictly over branding.

Republicans who?
The first part of the video was pretty good, but then they degenerate into craziness implying that there is something sinister behind it. At best Obama will win a second term and be able to pass some modest reforms(his health care and climate change reforms are modest). To imply he's going to somehow take over this country and become dictator using his "cult of personality" is total bs. Hell go to some liberal websites and read articles and comments. He's getting whacked from the left almost as hard as by the teabaggers. Pajamas Media: Purveyors of retarded rightwing bs since 2004.
That was the whole point of the video. He makes a big deal about how behind the curve the RNC is when compared to Democrats and their presentation (the logo, the convention stage, etc.) and the implication of focusing on that disparity is that changing that will make a difference. I just think it's focusing on superficiality. I don't believe that all that stuff really affects the way people vote in the way he's suggesting.

As for "Republicans who?", I'm referring to the the people in politics who put "R"s next to their name when they appear on television. Also Joe Lieberman.
