You know what's wrong with this country?
Normal everyday items you use to be able to run right down to the store and get you can't find! See any good tea strainers these days? Hell I gotta use "tea bags" like I'm a frigging Limey. Plus I used 'em all last TeaBagger Protest Day. Found a good pair of rabbit ears lately? When that damned socialist communist Obama has his way my TV won't be worth shit in June.
But the latest? Try and find an ice pick. I ran down to the Piggly Wiggly cause my wife has a family reunion this weekend and I wanted to get ready for it. But NO! Not a damned ice pick anywhere. I had to have my cousin Delbert help me out. He did his time at Eastern Middle State and nobody does better work than him.
That's just the shits. If we want America to get it's groove back we gotta get these idiots to quite importing all that Made in China crap and focus on restocking shelves with the good stuff? Anybody out there think of stuff you used to get but can't find now?

I agree with you on this. It's like you have a million different stores, but they all have exactly the same things. You can always google it and find it on the internet, but that does'nt help you if you need it at the last minute. We do have a hardware store here in Richmond, Pleasants, that advertises "most anything", and while it's a little more expensive then Leows or Home Depot, they do have a lot of those hard to find items. They probably have an ice-pick.

Also for tea-strainers, see if you can find a small oriental grocery near where you live. They tend to have a lot of items like that. But they're made in China:)

You should open up a tea-strainer/rabbit ear/ice pick emporium, making sure to stock only items that are made in the U.S.. If you can't find a supplier, hell, get in on the manufacturing side. Not only does it solve your problem but you'd be helping to create jobs for hard working Americans and stimulate our struggling economy.
After all, they say that in every crisis you can find danger and opportunity.
Wait a second... don't we get that saying from the Chinese, too? There's no escaping it! No wonder they make all our stuff!
