Laws get passed all the time. Often we never learn what they say until they affect us personally or until they make the news in some way. We seem to survive that way most of the time.
No, I have a lot of faith that most people are too lazy to read for themselves what is actually contained within the bill before they make their mind up about it (or let their favorite pundit make their mind up for them).
