Relax, Tricky Dickey, Texas Has You Covered

You aren't going to believe this but I read an editorial today that I totally don't agree with.  No, wait, it was two editorials.  So prepare to have your believability doubly strained.  First, though, I probably should explain tonight's title because it really has nothing to do with anything and it might end up just confusing you otherwise, and I would if I could. But I can't because apparently someone (I don't know who it was but I can assure you it wasn't me) wasn't paying attention and all…See More

Jesus Is Burying Me!

I'm being overrun with Jesus this morning. First, I got a reminder about a survey that I somehow missed that has to do with Jesus and then I saw that Jackie and Dunlap posted a brand new Red State Update that not only is about Jesus but features Him as a (Unseen) guest. Besides that, they're talking about God and Jesus on Coast right now.I don't know why the Lord keeps working in mysterious ways like this…See More

Just Some Boring Commentary

“To achieve the impossible; it is precisely the unthinkable that must be thought.”````````````Thomas Eugene "Tom" RobbinsThe news today is as dismal as it usually is, but, just as typically, there are bright spots. Well, one bright spot, anyway. Sort of. Maybe. I mean, if this is really the beginning of the end of the Fed, it is a great day for America and the world...and an even greater day for Ron Paul…See More

Some people are going to say that I'm lazy because this is the exact same comment I left on this video at YouTube but I'll have you know that Al Gore approves because it's very green to recycle comments: Not bad at all. I'd…

Disturbing News And Good News

I didn't know that John Phillips was from Alabama. I always thought he was from South Carolina...I reckon that's close enough to Alabama, though...and I wish we had time to talk about it because it's a fascinating, albeit disturbing story but we don't, so we'll just toss that one to Oprah.I am glad that you brought up Alabama, though, because that leads us straight north to Tennessee, where there is…See More

Happy (60th) Birthday, Bruce!

Every music lover's worst nightmare came true last night in Des Moines. Bruce Springsteen was onstage at the Wells Fargo Arena for almost three full hours and he spent almost every minute of it singing and playing. Not a word about politics...and politics is what he's good at...unless you count a few words about The Food Bank Of Iowa.I hope that people aren't too upset...Well, his hardcore fans weren't upset because he played Incident on 57th Street and Rosalita back to back but they are…See More

Praise The Lord And Pass The Chicken Soup

Praise The Lord And Pass The Chicken SoupCurrent mood: boredCategory: Dreams and the SupernaturalThis was a really good week. In some respects. Three respects to be exact. And let's not talk about all the other respects because they were all downright disrespectful. Let's just concentrate on the respects that were respectful, because my blood pressure is already way too high as it is.The first of them is Coast To Coast AM. I don't know exactly what's going on down there at Coast Headquarters…See More
