- I am mostly into country rock, southern rock, bluegrass, slow country ballads, blues, some pop, memphis soul, some metal, some alternative rock, I do listen to a lot of indy stuff out there. I play guitar and piano and sometimes perform in public. I've played in some bands as a guitarist and some solo gigs on acoustic guitar. I'm working on my lead skills, I can play good rhythm licks. I've written some songs, and paid a few dollars to get them recorded by a guy with a good home studio. I sing too. So, I bought a digital recorder with 16 tracks and I'm going to try recording my songs at home. I want to get into a country rock band soon, since I've retired early in life after 25 years of working on the same job in IT. I consider myself a serious musician, not fully professional yet, mostly just like to have fun playing music. Some of my favorite artist are: ZZ Top, Randy Travis, Shelby Lynne, BB King, Johnny Cash, The Eagles, Luther Wright and the Wrongs, Hank Williams Jr., Kenny Chesney, Travis Tritt, Miley Cirus, Jonas Brothers, so many more, I could go on and on here...I also like the Red State Update album. In movies, I like comedy, sci-fi, mystery, suspense, action, (Steven Segall, Tom Cruise, Larry the Cable Guy, Chris Farley, William Shatner, Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, more).

On a lake in Wasilla just south of the depot
To reporters she was answering.
I couldn't hear her so I walked up nearer
I stood there just listening.
When the ethics charges hit her she said, "I'm no quitter
But I finally quit winnin', it seems.
I'm hungry for book deals and maybe a talk show
I'm after whatever the flutter life brings."
At the bait shop I saw them and I closely watched them
I thought how they looked kind of crazed.
They came to the woman who stood there beside me
They had a strange look on their face.
They were here for the snow job, they looked like a lynch mob
For a minute I thought I was dead.
Their fists started shakin' their big smiles was breakin'
As they turned to the woman and said,
"You picked a great time to leave Lake Lucille !
In four years, as president, you'll be ideal.
You're condescendin' sometimes, supported by closed minds
But that comes with religious zeal.
You picked a fine time to leave Lake Lucille."
After they left us I ordered some bait worms
I thought how she'd winked at their brawl.
How from the light of the night sun to the eyes of the nation
She talked without thinkin' at all.
Now she was a beauty but when she campaigned to me
She must've thought I'd lost my mind.
I couldn't vote for her with her angry supporters
Bringin' crazy back time after time...
