Praise The Lord And Pass The Chicken Soup

This was a really good week. In some respects. Three respects to be exact. And let's not talk about all the other respects because they were all downright disrespectful. Let's just concentrate on the respects that were respectful, because my blood pressure is already way too high as it is.
The first of them is Coast To Coast AM. I don't know exactly what's going on down there at Coast Headquarters but I like it. George and Ian both want to win Coast Host Of The Year so much that they are trying to shove the other contenders...such as Jackie and Dunlap---who are also sabotaging themselves because they haven't posted a new Red State Update since 1958...right out of the contest.
Every single show this week has been outstanding...at least that's the way I am remembering the week here on Sunday morning and if there was a clunker in there somewhere, manipulating my memory like this, making me forget it, is part of the art of winning (Intentional pun there, because Art could still win just by announcing that he's coming back full time)...and not in a flashy, over the top, glitzy Hollywood blockbuster type of way (Such as when George has The Doors on and they work, too, but they are hardly the only way to win).
These were just quiet little shows that were jam packed with entertainment and information. There was the Dream Coach (She was very good and dreams are one of my favorite topics, so George got extra points for it), time shifts (Another favorite of mine), vampires, after death communications and Atlantis. There was more, of course, but those are the ones I remember the most.
Then, this morning, Ian came in with an awesome show on math. If you missed the show this morning, you read that right and it's not a misprint. It was an awesome show about math. If you find that hard to believe, go back and listen to it, if you have Streamlink and if you don't have Streamlink, this is the kind of show that makes it really pay off.
Oh, another topic from earlier in the week was the Power Of Intention and this one is important because I tried it and it worked. Kind of. Actually, I'm always trying Intention but I try it even more when I happen to run across an article on it or when it turns up on Coast.
And what I did was...well, I did a lot of things but the one that worked (Sort of) was the one where I sent out an intention to the Universe that just once, I'd like to go out to the porch to bring in the Sunday papers and find one of the girls from one of the underwear ads sitting there with them.
The way I figure it, a live girl saying, "Hey, this bra is 40% off, are you interested?" Would be way more effective than an ordinary print ad. I have a feeling it would capture far more of my attention. Anyway, I sent that intention out to the Universe, and I even took the expert's advice and remained positive that it was going to work and voilà!
The Universe heard my request for a lingerie model and sent back cereal. OK, it wasn't a pretty girl wearing just her underwear but it was something. In each of the papers, there were sample size boxes of Multi-Grain Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
That's four sample size boxes of cereal altogether and I only asked for one lingerie model, so the next time someone tries to tell you that the power of intention doesn't work, feel free to tell them this story. Don't rub their noses in it, though. There's just no need for that. Remember, you're here to educate, not humiliate.
So that was Respect Number Two and that perfectly sets the stage for Respect Number Three, which happened Friday night. The good Lord saw fit to instruct His Three Star General In The War On Media Pornography to call my favorite late night paranormal radio show.
I don't want any of you other callers to feel bad or inadequate but JC is 25 million times better than any of you, even on an off night. Even when he's subdued due to a case of the Swine Flu as he was Friday night. That was the inspiration for the title of this one too, which was brought to you with the help of another JC and you can hear it
here, if you like. Then you can call Tommy and ask him why that one is never used as a bumper.
So, that was my week...well, the good part of it and we don't want to talk about the rest.
